President Trump Re-appoints Governor Whitmer to Council of Governors

A month ago, my governor had this to say:

“I do look forward to connecting with the incoming president, because we’ve got a lot of important things, and the people of Michigan elected us both twice, just two years apart, both times, and I suspect we can find common ground on some things and that’s my job.”

Then, this:

“I’ve got to make sure that I can deliver and work with folks of the federal government, and so I don’t view myself as the leader of the opposition like some might.”

Finally:

“On the campaign, people say certain things. It’s another thing when they get into office, where they want to spend their energy and the finite resources of government. And so we’ll see what they do.”

So, find common ground with fascists, not a leader of the opposition, and thinking he was just saying stuff on the campaign. I do not recommend looking to Governor Whitmer to do much to earn the speculation of a presidential run. My feeling is she’s just looking where the wind blows. Her own words.

I'm noting how she's not a good presidential candidate. aocommunalpunch Feb 2025 #2

is hardly appeasing fascists. Rhetorical attacks on our party will not sweep us back into power.

Maybe you missed the love for her around here? She’s my governor, but is not going to fight against the fascists. No appeasement.

If she changes her attitude toward being a leader of the opposition and fighting the fascists instead of trying to find common ground, I’m here for it. In the meantime, I see nothing worth supporting.

Do you have faith that anyone can help steer that fucker? I don’t. Looks more like career moves. Not a good candidate.

What does he say about working with the fascists? What does he say about being a leader of the opposition? Feel free to fill in the gaps.
