My guess is no, he will not defer any SC judgement that disagrees with him.
And then we're in a crisis that hasn't existed since Andrew Jackson (and this time, I think we're too big a populace that would disagree, to let that kind of malfeasance slide...at least, I hope so).

(12,248 posts)Firings were supposed illegal, still went through.
All these great legal minds telling us on social media and tv, all this shit trump and doge is illegal, still going on and through
Who's going to stop them? No one. Yeah, someone said you. Lmbo, no, average Joe or Joanne at home ain't stopping this crap. We're all just watching when we can. Some disabled, retired, waiting for surgeries, life... trying to survive. Some folks are fortunate to follow every day. Spend every day just on DU, their news sites. How privileged. No way.lol I'm at doctors 3 to 4 times a week right now, pharmacy. Cooking, cleaning, pets, feral colony, new calico in quarantine... cripes! Who can keep up with all this shit! No, I myself am trying to heal from incarcerated hernia surgery and infection. One sister on the 13th for heart valve, the other same day for aneurysm clipping at OHSU.
Real.life. real struggling
No sleep in over 2 weeks
No, I'm not in the street
I'm home taking care of my sisters and me and cats
My pain is probably talking. But seriously, you said, You?

(94,265 posts)...we just lost one of those. That's why republicans are in power and we're not.
We need to elect enough Democrats to gain the majority. That's the game, no matter how tired or anguished people are.
No one can accomplish that but us.
Waiting for some court case to stop Trump is insidiously short-sighted. We still have a political challenge right in front of us, and too many people are wrongly casting republicans as involiable to our political action.
No one can successfully accomplish that challenge for us, but us.

(12,248 posts)I gave a shit, you gave a shit.
So, now I'm in literally so much pain right now, I can barely sit on my tail bone. Have no idea why. All I know, is I have to get my incision healed, my sisters through their surgeries, household bills paid, taxes, ferals, new quarantine cat, and all the trump bs. I'm just trying to survive. I've been off work since August. Workman's comp denied my claim, because of previous hernias.
I've burned through all my savings now.
I'm getting desperate, and now, all the trump denial stuff

I know it's hard, but we can't and really don't need to worry over every instance Trump or republicans claim they own something.
Nor do we need to anguish over court cases. They will do what they do.
At a time like this, most of us need to take stock of what sustains us, and work on holding onto that, or find alternatives. These politics can't sustain us with everything we need, nor can it own us if we refuse to let it.
Try to hang in there.

...they are presently the ONLY people representing working Americans and families in the hearings where republicans are cutting basic services and life saving positions to give themselves a tax brak.
They're not responsible for people voting in or enabling a convicted felon into office.
Our elected Democrats aren't making those choices.

(30,469 posts)the term "bitch slapped" is an ugly, unnecessarily sexist term, and I suggest you remove it. Those questioning its lack of necessity should explain the difference between a simple "slap" and a "bitch slap". Beyond its use as a gratuitous 'opportunity' to demean women, I see none.

the user isn't the point here..Consider all of those who tell racist or homophobic "jokes", only to later claim they're 'not anti-gay', not 'racist', they're just 'joking'
In some cases, they may even be telling the truth, at least within the limits of their own self awareness, but again, that's not the point..What's at issue here, is the fact that bigoted language is itself hurtful to the people it targets. It does, in addition, reinforce negative attitudes toward the targeted group.
To those liberals expressing concern about "cancel culture" or "language policing" regarding sexist language, I'll note here that I've yet to hear such objections used in defense of racist or homophobic language. To paraphrase writer Susan Brownmiller, the liberal mindset, so quick to understand the hateful connotation of the "n-word" or the "f word", is fiercely obdurate when it comes to the verbal denigration of females.
As for the desire to "enjoy the occasional vulgarity", here's a tip: Do so at the expense of your own gender, race, gender identity...Women (and the rest) are sick to death of being its default target.

(53,179 posts)A federal judge in Maryland temporarily blocked key portions of President Donald Trumps executive orders targeting diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives in the federal government and corporate America.

U.S. District Judge Adam B. Abelson granted a preliminary injunction on Friday that bars portions of Trumps orders to cancel federal contracts with DEI components and require government contractors to certify that they do not engage in DEI practices that violate antidiscrimination laws. The order also prohibits enforcement against publicly traded companies and large universities with comparable policies.
In reference to enforcement against companies and universities, Abelson noted that the plaintiffs were likely to succeed on their claim that such actions would violate constitutionally protected free speech.
That is textbook viewpoint-based discrimination, Abelson wrote. The governments threat of enforcement is not just targeted towards enforcement of federal law. Rather, the provision expressly targets, and threatens, the expression of views supportive of equity, diversity and inclusion.
The lawsuit was brought by a coalition of diversity officers, professors and restaurant worker advocates. Skye Perryman, president and chief executive of Democracy Forward, a left-leaning nonprofit that filed the lawsuit on their behalf, said in a statement that the Constitution protects all Americans whether you are a university professor or a restaurant worker from unlawful intrusion on speech, ideas, and expression and entitles all Americans to fair process.
