I am dismayed that given the EU has seen Trump before and knew what was coming since November they can't come up with a united front against Trump and neuter him in many areas. As with everything EU their constant public disagreements and dithering leave them way behind the power curve in a Trump world. With a combined population 25% larger than the US they should be able to have a substantive impact in world affairs. Unfortunately their GDP is just a bit over 50% of that of the US. But letting Trump basically ignore them while working unilaterally with Russia and China to basically divvy up spheres of influence without them will make them increasingly irrelevant and powerless.

We need to do it that day, but let's choose several different days. For example, I hear someone's birthday is coming up. Shouldn't we all give his highness a present? A big middle finger of resistence?

and resistance to happen as quickly as it did. Yes, for the first week we all seemed paralyzed with shock, but the lawsuits, injunctions and protests began and gave the rest of us courage to resist. Probably because those of us who didn't vote for it, expected the bad, and prepared to face it.
I am doing my part in small ways, can't do the protests due to health issues, as much as I would love too.
