Here are the 5 things I accomplished last week:
1. I volunteered at my local food shelf.
2. I sent Bernie Sanders a check to help with his nationwide rally blitz.
3. I contacted my senator Amy Klobuchar to complain about you.
4. I contacted my senator Tina Smith to complain about you.
5. I congratulated my nephew on getting rid of his Tesla.

(3,564 posts)I've never quite mastered the fresh pasta skill. I tried gnocchi once and it took half a day and was unrewarding. I can only imagine the stuffed pastas must be even more challenging.

(961 posts)What do you suppose his odds are of being locked in a Tesla truck with no obvious door handle at 100+° outside, while Dad is indoors getting a doubleshot soy mocha and responding to all the Nazis praising him for one of his stupid Nazi texts on X?

(2,300 posts)First, that kid is a prop. Musk hands him off the second the press isn't watching, which is why he forgets that he's there. Second, he would never get a soy latte. The right is absolutely irrational about soy. They're convinced that it's some kind of leftist plot to emasculate them, rather than the truth, which is that soy milk is creamy deliciousness that makes your latte 100% better. Which is why it's so sad that practically no coffee shops carry it anymore, just oat (meh, fine, whatever) almond (it curdles in hot coffee, why would you want that?) and coconut (it tastes like coconut, blech).
Sorry, I veered off topic because I want a latte. Anyway.... Elon Musk is an ass, but I don't think his children are in danger because I think he has nannies to take them off his hands the second they become even slightly inconvenient to him.

5. Joined in my coven's hex ritual for your immediate, painful, and very public demise.

(10,484 posts)about various issues. Musk is straight up evil. It's appalling that he has free rein to vandalize our government and many Americans are defending him.
"Oh, what harm can he possibly do? He's saving us billions of dollars! And he's not stealing from us. Hes a billionaire & doesn't need our money."
There is simply not enough time to explain to these morons how clueless they are!

(85 posts)Dear Sir,
Here are my top 5 accomplishments for last week
1) started to update my resume along with reaching out to my personal network for any input on job leads.
2) research where I should move my retirement fund. My investment in Tesla stock is losing value by the day so am looking for a safe harbor for my money to weather the coming financial storm.
3) watched some YouTube videos of musk at 'copac', was he on drugs? It seemed he could hardly compose a coherent sentence.. what was with the sunglasses indoors? Was his eyes showing how drugged up he was?
4) lent emotional support to colleagues that abruptly fired with out the required warning period.
5) watched the stock market collapse on Thursday and Friday..

(10,656 posts)1. Read a book about the origins of the holocaust. Since youre busy trying to wipe that from history, I suggest you read up on it. You will find it horrifying - let me rephrase: you will take pleasure in it and likely experience no small amount of arousal. You will also experience a sense of deja vu. Have somebody explain what that is to you.
2. Spent time with grandkids. There is no greater joy, although there is a terrifying sense of foreboding when looking at my granddaughter, thinking about the world that awaits her.
3. Had sex with my wife with no intention whatsoever of procreating. We had a long discussion on her 70th birthday and made the difficult decision to have no more children. I will confess to having a vasectomy in 1990. I assume that procedure will be illegal in the not too distant future. Sure hope its not retroactive!
4. Explained to a conservative friend how our government is designed, particularly the separation of powers and the concept of checks and balances. Does any of that sound familiar to you?
5. Patiently waited for prices to come down. Im well aware it was scheduled for 1/20. Im reasonably certain the delay is due to the fraud and inefficiencies you are so diligently rooting out. Im sure youll get to the bottom of it.
I hope this suffices. I certainly dont want to tender my resignation from anything. Hopefully I didnt waste your time. You have people to make miserable!

(880 posts)Dear Elon,
In the interest of DOGE and saving the United States from collapse, I will gladly fill you in on my activities and allow you the opportunity to judge whether or not I should be allowed to continue to do them.
I usually start the day by making coffee. Just the one pot, for me and the Mrs., is enough. I will often have a croissant or a bagel along with this morning coffee. I take my morning pills, move to my computer and begin playing solitaire. I often will play for an hour or so while the aforementioned coffee fully wakens me.
Some time later in the morning I will dress myself and prepare for the day. This regularly includes me eating lunch, perhaps taking a walk, though the weather is a little unfriendly for that kind of activity right now. I often will watch a little TV, I have become a fan of the series SILO and so will watch and rewatch episodes of that.
Next will come a nap just before I prepare dinner. After dinner my wife and I will watch some more TV, and then to bed.
As we are currently retired, this is about all our days consist of. I certainly hope that we will be able to continue in this, though should the United States be in danger from our activities we would surely considered altering them, possibly. But not probably.
Thank you for your time,
Citizens of the Earth

(6,670 posts)Sadly, from what I can tell, the "rally blitz" is one that in part promotes the false narrative that Democrats are just as "corrupt" as Republicans. That doesn't help.
https://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=20064987
I listened to Sanders' Omaha speech: "Oligarchy is about political power. ... But it's not just Republicans. Billionaires contribute to the Democratic Party as well" (audience boos at the Democratic Party).
How is the Democratic Party beholden to billionaires and oligarchs? What policies have changed to be like Republicans'? There must be many many examples of Democrats voting to repeal the ACA, lower taxes for corporations and the wealthy, raise Pharma prices, privatize everything, prevent anything being done about climate change, weaken unions and keep wages low, not relieve student debt, etc., to say the whole party is the same as the other. But there aren't.
How is saying the Democratic Party is corrupted by oligarchs and billionaires helpful? Can someone explain please?
The DUer whose post I've quoted above asks excellent questions! They make some important distinctions and obvious observations. But the questions you pose will never be answered directly... the standard MO is to just make negative insinuations about Democrats. The false narrative that "both parties are the same" is what suppresses voter turnout for Democrats. It's a dangerous lie and it leads to people voting third-party, or voting for "Uncommitted" or not bothering to vote at all. This, of course, always benefits the Republicans (as we've seen multiple times now.) It's a great fundraising gimmick though. I just wish those dollars were flowing toward Democrats.

(14 posts)1. I worked on a project vital to the security of the United States for which you do not have the requisite security clearance to request information on. Even if you had the clearance, you have no need to know so I couldn't tell you even if I wanted to. Go bother somebody else.
