We sent ACTUAL LETTERS to his office with questionnaires. All he had to do was circle 'YES' or 'NO' and return them in the pre-postage paid envelopes we sent, and that was on November 14th. We're still waiting. He's a tRump ass kissing nut gargling suck up, and nothing more. He has done NOTHING, but these mouth breathing Repukes here keep sending him back to what has to be the best job in the world.

Out of all three of my congressmen, his is the only office I've gotten responses from -- even though they've all been canned TSF-approved nonsense.

17. I didn't see this post until you promoted it in your other recent OP.

I don't see things that happen at 5 am. I will try and pay more attention to Activist Headquarters.

I am doing what I can. I am calling and writing members of Congress of both parties, regularly. I joined indivisible and Democracy 2025. I am donating to Democracy Forward, Democracy Docket, Public Citizen, and the like.

I am doing my own version of "flooding the zone". I am sharing facts and information on social media. I remained on the platform that is from the Z guy, specifically to do so. I also monitor RWmedia and sometimes create and share fact checks of their nonsense.

I wish the Democratic voices would engage in more fact checking and counter narrative.

I have an idea which involves using billboards, with simple messages that are compelling but not childish and vitriolic. It would also include links to websites for more information. I don't have the bandwidth to build it out myself. If you know anyone who would like to hear my ideas, and has some resources to build it out, I am happy to collaborate.

I am happy to be a bigger part of Activist Headquarters.

20. Thank you for all you're doing! It's often not easy to fit these sorts of duties into our days,

and I have definitely not been doing enough until recently. I was sharing facts on social about what the Rs are doing, but also found myself arguing with people who were never going to be convinced by facts or reasonable, logical argument. I found I was devolving into nastiness and personal insults on many occasions. I was doing a lot of doomscrolling and failing to do many of my own personal chores and even enjoyable activities.

Not only was I not helping much, I felt worse and worse on a psychological and emotional level. We already had a lot of awful situations in our lives, including illness and death of close friends & family members. I could not afford to feel worse.

So, I've been working on eliminating the wasted energy and forcing myself to find ways to help. I am doing things that experts say make a difference. I am almost incapable of making phone calls to our reps because I get too nervous and lose my temper. But using 5calls.org, I've beem forcing myself to make calls. I've been using Resistbot to send emails. Contacting our reps often helps, but only if a majority of us do it!

My husband & I attended the rally in Harrisburg on Presidents' Day and plan to attend more. We have a lot of personal stuff coming up that will make it harder to fit these things in, but we are going to do our best. Like you, I'm going to also try to do more with the Activist Headquarters.

I think a lot of us could do more and will regret it if we don't. We may not win, but let's not just hand them everything without a fight.

I like your ideas. I have similar thoughts, but do not have the organizing or other skills nor the money to implement them. I am so dismayed that most of the Democrats who do have the power, money, and influence have not done more.

Do you know about the Card Campaign? I think it's a good idea and a little like your billboard idea (though I agree, we need billboards!) Though I'm thinking the cards have too much info on them. I'd say make key points with a link to the site for more info. (Though, getting people to accurately type in a URL is problematic.) As soon as I get my printer working again, I think I'll try at least a few of them.

some others I've seen. (And it missed an important Not My Presidents Day rally in PA: Harrisburg at the state capitol. I was there and it was well-attended, but could of course have been bigger with better advertising.)

Of course there's never going to be one central group organizing & announcing completely accurately.

I think contacting our reps *is* a group activity as much as turning our lights out on one day and not spending on another weekday. And I think that's too much. I'd rather see fewer more concentrated actions, but I admit I'm no expert.

I just know one thing for sure: doing nothing won't help.
