Word that needs an update: Paranoia.

Is there ever a word in our lexicon who has been unfairly disparaged, it is Paranoia and the Paranoid. Seriously, we need to give the folks who saw all these events coming early, who had to deal with our nay-nays, by calling them Paranoid and even conspiracy theorists, those people deserve a huge apology.

The exceptions would be the chronically paranoid Karens and the real nutcase right-wing rabble rousers who are trying to trigger paranoia in the public.

I hope that straightens everything out.

even though I never preached giving up, I just reported the gloom part.

The answer lies in us. Congressional Democrats need to be out in the country doing town halls. They are on vacation this week.

But you are not the first to say an apology is in order. There was a gracious post by William769 earlier this month, with the same sentiment. https://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=19986615

I have been in full Chicken Little mode for months. I don't like feeling paranoid, but every day brings another unfathomable reality.

Thank you for your post.
