There were mass layoffs there and I have had contact with them around the year 2000 when I enrolled my sister with the OPM.
She is disabled and has survivor benefits so I take care of her finances. She is 100% dependent on military and SS survivor benefits.
Someone on this board mentioned to keep track of all statements because this is one of the Government Departments that has been confiscated by the gang in the White House. This Department was responsive and used to actually answer the phone however there would be prompts and wait times.
I hope there is someone to personally oversee the administrative issues other than bots and soundbites and AI.
I am worried about my sister's benefits as well.

NARFE was instrumental in getting the Windfall Pension Offset and Government Pension Offset repealed last year to help retirees who had been getting reductions in Social Security. Don't know when SS will ever get around to carrying out the repeal and raising our benefits for those of us who were WPO'd and GPO'd.
