Purging your social media of anti Trump posts

So I had an interesting discussion with a friend the other day. They told me that they went through the last 10 years of their FB, Insta, Twitter, and other social media and removed every single one of their posts that mentioned Trump or even links to articles critical of Trump.

I asked why and they had a pretty chilling response:

"Basically, if you believe Trump is America's Putin and intends to rule the US with the same control Putin rules Russia with, you should remove posts like this. Do you think people in Russia post badly about Putin? Those that do get a visit from local thugs and can face violence. So I am protecting myself and my family. And even if the violence wouldn't come, Elon is going crazy with his AI and there's no telling if your negative Trump posts can make you a target of this AI."

Got me thinking about Elon's promise to slash benefits and how his AI is targeting people. Maybe his AI starts accessing FB's databases and determining who is anti or pro Trump nd declaring people ineligible for Social Security and Medicare based on this. Or maybe it targets people with Anti Trump social media posts to be audited by the IRS. Or maybe it targets them for even worse.

I'm not about to stop speaking out against this dictator, but it was just food for thought and chilling that some people out there are thinking this way, and they might not be wrong.

But it will be based on race first. He'll claim that these are fraud accounts and just stop sending the checks, then he'll say that if they aren't fraud, they can reapply.
