New DeNiro series on Netflix is a political thriller that is excellent with some references to today's environment.

I didn’t post this in the Lounge because I wanted to mention tie ins to today’s political environment.

I saw her segment on it and watched first episode last night. The cast is amazing and the topic - pretty scary and timely.

About the division in the nation and a man who is willing to sacrifice everything in the service of truth and the nation.

proposal where Dems forced Republicans to vote on amendments to prohibit giving tax cuts to billionaires, and not cutting Medicare/Medicaid, no Republican can be found to make a personal sacrifice.

I’m sure it seemed like an extreme worst case scenario fictional situation when they were writing it. But we now know how much worse it is when politicians team up with tech billionaires.

It was a really compelling well- done series. I cringed at the “both sides-ing” of the bad guys. I guess they have to do that if they want a wide range of viewers.

My mistake! There are no other places to watch this series except Netflix at least for now. Thanks for correcting me hlthe2b!

Edited to correct my misstatement.

In fact you can cancel as soon as your payment/subscription goes through and still keep access for the month (so that you don't forget).

Compared to other streaming services (or the ad-less or other tiers of Netflix options), that is pretty reasonable.
