It really was funny since Oliver was so clever and ad-libbed a lot of the show as Jon was getting stitched up.

OMG! He was so pissed about the cruelty and callousness of Retrumplicans and an unelected South African Nazi, that he got a boo-boo on his hand.

He was so hurt, he "almost" couldn't pivot to how President Biden was only able to initially get 10 drugs negotiated to lower prescription drug prices, and how Democrats weren't doing enough to fight the most corrupt political party since Duarte's Philipines, that CURRENTLY HAS ALL the political power. Oh, and don't forget, Joe Biden was old.

Then, in a segment about the Retrumplican President and unelected South African Nazi, appointed by the Rerumplican President decimating the government agency responsible for the 9/11 first responders fund, he made sure to "thank" a Retrumplican rep from Long Island. Seriously, the gist was, "thank God there was a Retrumplican rep whose very own constituents were getting screwed", because then, "he lept into action and begged Donnie Dipshit and Eloon to restore the funding."

The message was, and he actually said this; "that's where we are in America, if you have a Republican rep, you'll get funding".

He could have ignored that one Long Island Retrumplican, and instead, praised the hundreds of Democrats, from as far flung as Oregon, Hawaii, Texas and Nebraska that fought for New York first responders, NOT because New York first responders could vote for them, but BECAUSE THEY WERE FELLOW FUCKING AMERICANS.

So, Jon Stewart will be fine. I am pretty sure he has health care insurance, and doctors trained in good schools to treat him...those schools aren't just in New York.
