I am waiting for a sign that the country isn't gone

Haven't seen one yet.
They traitors are firmly installed in their Departments.
Musk controls the purse strings.
And the GOP House just gave Trump everything he wanted.
The Court orders are a joke that Trump is ignoring.
And half the country still supports the orange menace.

It will get far worse before, or if it gets better.

I feel positive, recognizing risks of trump reign, certainly longer term. If we fail in early midterm polls, I'll panic. Silent Type Feb 2025 #8

I mean literally you admit that half the country doesn't support Trump. Giving in to despair doesn't help anything.

He doesn't need their support.
I am seeing no loss of support from his voters.
I see EVERY Republican, the Party that controls the Government, in lock step with him.
I see the Press still tiptoeing around him.
I see every company bowing to him
What did I miss.

One third support him, one third don't. And one third don't really care as long as they get their hamberders and sportsball. Here in Florida I don't see any loss of support, but not socializing with his supporters, I probably wouldn't notice until there was a huge change.

Amazing compassionate leader of men. Why, just yesterday he designated an employee that was vacationing in Mexico as the leader of DOGE. Ol' Elon doesn't want to have to testify at those pesky investigations and law suits.

but history is helpful. The earth is still turning, and we humans have lived through all kinds of crud and we're still here. It's only life. We will still laugh, love, and find joy in monumental moments, until we don't. Just be.

Hitler consolidated his power in Germany. The Ides of March will be Trump's 53 days. If there is blood on the moon before then I will consider it a sign that our tribulations will soon end.

I see some signs of trouble from R constituents in those meetings.. but they're basically being told to f off at this point. If R don't do anything and continue supporting this I am not sure what can stop it. Maybe midterms if that happens and is valid. I would like to see a lot more fight against this insanity and less pretense that any of this is normal etc.
