Is there an organization employees could join to help protect them from the cruelty of billionaires?

It's right on the tip of my tongue, I think it starts with "U" and ends with "NION".

Especially at the red state level. Repug state legislators keep passing laws to reduce any labor rights making it harder for Unions to protect their workers. The stupidity of it all is they have convinced many union members to keep voting for them.

4. I worked for UPS for several years, and I feel the Teamsters leadership helped undercut employee benefits

There's a go along to get along feeling, and it's absolutely clear UPS utilizes its relationship with the union to keep employees in line.

In retrospect, the threat of a Teamsters strike did not significantly improve pay or working conditions.

and were convinced to vote for politicians hell bent on weakening and getting rid of unions - and you couldn't convince them otherwise even to their own detriment. So here we are. It only took 40 years but it's almost finished.
