door-knocking campaigns again to reach people who aren't paying attention to the fact that our country is being burned to the ground around us?

This latest outrage about a 50 percent reduction of Social Security staff would be a good issue to start with. Just print flyers about it and go knock on doors, talk to people if they answer the door, leave a flyer if they don't. Include on the flyers your Congress members' phone numbers.

This would be even more effective if the door-knocking occurred before a protest event so that the flyer could be an invitation to join the protest.
