Should Democrats attend Trump's State of the Union? (Poll)

I believe they should hold town halls instead and let the press show half the seats empty.

I don't believe they should attend and disrupt.

This would give right wing media ammunition.

1. And it definitely shouldn't be treated as a festive occasion like it usually is. We just surrendered to Russia.

7. I voted no, and I think your comment is the best suggestion: hold town halls instead.

Make the topic how the cuts are going to hurt their constituents, and how to fight against what's happening.

10. I believe they should be there to provide a loud, persistent laugh-track.

He hates being laughed at. But it will help to give a sense of reality to the fantasy he will attempt to portray. They might also want to groan, when appropriate, or even boo, from time to time. I wouldn't mind hearing an occasional "You lie!" Some intense, vocal opposition from the Democratic leaders would be welcome, in my opinion.

Only way I'd maybe change my mind, if the D's could find a way to turn all their chairs around.

No matter what they would wear (certain colors and pins and ribbons) it won't matter and is a wasted effort. If you're going to really make a point than they should boycott the whole shit show. I bet they'd be relieved if the Dem leaders told them not to show up. If I were there I'd need a barf bag and a handful of Xanax or perhaps a lobotomy beforehand.
