How is the second Trump term going compared to your expectations?

1. I chose option #1.

I expected it to be bad but I didn't really think Trump would appoint RFK, Jr. to head HHS.

I didn't expect Trump to cut all funding to NIH.

I don't think many people realize the implications of this.

2. Ironically perhaps, this is pretty much what I expected 8 years ago.

The utter incompetence of the first term gave me a bit of hope that he'd continue the slow pace of destruction.

So I said "worse" because now I'm back to it playing out like I thought it would the first time.

so my expectation was it would be really bad and this it has been.

I still don’t see how Trump and Musk keep this go-presidency thing going long term, but I am now of the opinion that if there’s a falling out it will be Trump that goes not Musk and Vance will become President. Trump tolerates Musk to an extent he does with nobody else which tells me Musk has something on him.

Of course, that was like talking to a machetti-wielding brick wall. The result was 100% denial, verbal abuse, repeating what they saw on Facebook, OANN, Fox or blaming Democrats.

Half of them are on Social Security & Medicare. Goodie for them. I will likely never receive mine.

Fuck these assholes.

6. It's what I expected, but it's getting worse much faster than what I expected.

I thought that he'd get a good nine months or so of calm and positive coverage, but at the end of the year, things would start sliding down hill. I was wrong about the timing. Things are sliding down hill much, much faster than expected.

That they would have executive orders to implement all of project 2025 on day 1. Trump is not that competent, and I didn't think his ego would allow him to turn the reins over to someone else that completely

I know that Trump is inept, thrives off chaos and has a narcissistic fragile ego.

I believe that Trump isn't in charge and he's taking orders from Musk. I believe that Musk is taking orders from Putin. Trump and Musk each and separately had private phone calls with Putin during Trumps in-between as a private citizen. I sort of was already expecting Musk to buy himself a President since he could never be eligible to run for that position.

What I didn't expect was for Trump to return into the White House. I was fully hoping for a Harris/Walz win.

I knew that starting on January 20th, things were going to go full steam ahead into madness.

9. Dangerously incompetent Trump is doing more damage than expected due to Musk and Heritage Foundation

Musk, who is damaging the government by reckless firings given little understanding of what the government does.
Heritage Foundation's P25 has been implemented via EOs prepared for Trump in advance.
The complete absence of knowedgable cabinet members is preventing the worst of Trump from emerging.
