actually reign in spending for all medical costs. So if we are truly interested in cutting so called "entitlement" spending, why not make single payer the prerequisite?
I wonder if any studies have been done to facilitate this or investigate what truly could be the ultimate tool to end wasteful spending for Medicaid, Medicare and now, health care reform in general.
Any thoughts?

(24,632 posts)without adding the cost of "profit for insurers". That extra is just friction in the economic engine of medicine. Not needed.
Insurance lobbies will lavish huge amounts onto congress and staff to defeat this, just as pharmaceuticals did to prevent Medicare from negotiating for lower drug prices.
