Tornado season is just around the bend

So here in KS when the forecast goes totally south, McConnell AFB sends their fancy planes to other bases. They actually report that on the news. So if he guts NOAA, what does that do to the tornado forecast. I thought this was something you folks probably don’t know. Apparently Elon doesn’t know either.

if you live in the middle to southern middle of Kansas, across OK and into northern TX... 2am could be really lively. Keep alert in Wichita ( and a line running north and south of this... and then all the way to the border with MO ).

Not crazy line-storm intense, but steady and slowly gathering speed.

LOL...I live in Wichita,so I know about them moving aircraft around. The aircraft here these days are tankers. The wind per usual is going to scream for the next day or two. Wonder if they'll move any. Possible gusts up to 60 mph.

live in Kansas, so it hardly matters if Kansans learn about tornadoes before they touch the ground.

Do I need the sarcasm thingie?

I am a ways North on my farm just South of Topeka. I am right around Forbes and I love all the planes flying over.

I had not even thought of this but I have been worried about our safety. I love the storms until they get scary but our weather people are so good but now there is this. Well, I imagine that we send ours down to you too.

As always it is lions, tigers and bears....WELCOME to DU! Hang on to your hat.

You cannot send expensive aircraft into a hurricane or typhoon.
And like you say, when bad weather comes the planes have to be sent to safety.
