Okay, somebody stop me. I'm a 77 year old grandmother and I'm

considering sending an email to the White House. Just asking one question: Tell me, what does Putin's cock taste like?

Do you think the Secret Service or FBI would come for me? Should I wait until I'm completely settled in Costa Rica to send my question?

This and similar expressions, slightly vulgar though they may be, have zero to do with gay relationships and everything to do with TSF being Putin's toady. It's the same as calling some toady like Lindsey Graham TSF's fluffer.

I have yet to hear a protest against TSF's behavior as cogent and immediately accessible as this one. This OP is definitely an alum of the Jasmine Crockett School of Communications.

It has nothing to do with vulgarity. It has to do with using my life to batter Trump with.

You're right. It is the same as the homophobic insults hurled at Graham - and EarlG very explicitly said that was bigotry and against the TOS.

While I'm on the subject, please knock off the "Lindsey Graham is gay/a woman" jokes. Most of you have figured this out by now, and DU Juries actually have a pretty solid track record of removing these posts, but you know what would be even better? If we didn't have to send such bigoted "jokes" to Juries in the first place.

What we know is that the OP implied he was gay (or bisexual) as an insult. That uses the lives of LGBTQ+ people as an insult - a battering ram. You can't use a battering ram to harm someone without doing damage to the battering ram.

I am tired of being told to calm down, by people who should have my back, that my experience of homophobia is invalid.

Especially in a place where implying someone is gay to insult them is a violation of the TOS.

In case you have any doubts, review EarlG's commentary on the matter

It is about his hypocrisy about everything. If he is gay, he is not man enough to just live that life style.

I personally don't care one way or another if he is gay. It is the fact that he has no core beliefs, and is so sanctimonious when expressing whatever he has been told to say.

If you think about it, he has been on both sides of most issues at one time or another.

It is the impact that using being gay as an insult has on those of us who are gay.

And Per EarlG (the owner of the site) it is against the TOS on DU - so if you want to do it, do it somewhere else.

Not because I think anyone will come after you, but because it won’t have any impact. Admittedly, a well written, thoughtful email probably will be ignored anyway, but an obscene email will be written off as ‘just another crazy lib’. Also, not a prude, but personally I have an instinctive negative reaction to sexual references as insults. But that’s just me. If it makes you feel better while escaping this hellhole to send that email, then do it. We all need some kind of release at this point.

We do have currently have freedom of speech.

IF you sent the letter, I would probably add something like this: "Just saying, people are saying you would know, since you know everything."

I suspect that this will never see the light of day, because if confronted I would not admit to anything criminal and would demand a jury trial - and can you imagine the national embarrassment. And since the DOJ represents the President, you have the right to request Trump be at your trial and answer the question.

And finally, as a citizen - we have the right to ask questions of our governmental leaders.

P.S. Thinking that Trump gets a lot of letters saying all kinds of offensive things. And just because it might be considered offensive it does not rise to the level of a threat.

I once worked in the White House (actually in the Executive Building next door) reading incoming letters to the Prez (then it was Reagan).
The President never sees these letters, he never even sees anyone who reads these letters.
Letters that fall into certain categories (which change with current events) get robot letters in return.
A really supportive letter, especially from a kid, might be shown to the President - maybe one such in a week or a month, just to cheer him up.
Letters trying to establish a personal friendship with the President are ignored; he's not looking for penpals.
Insulting letters are also ignored. Letters hinting at violence are referred to the Secret Service.

Your letter, while expressing my own feelings, will not do you any good, but maybe get you on Santa's naughty list.

you are moving to Costa Rica.
My husband and I had us all set up with an escape hatch in Panama after Shrub was returned to office for a second term. Then Obama was eventually elected and we needed the funds that were tied up down there to replace our house that burned down here in 2007. I was still in my 50's when that happened.
I'll be 74 next week and I just don't have the energy to sell a house here, get rid of everything, and relocate to another country alone. I've told my oldest son and his partner that if they'd go to Canada, (or somewhere in Europe) I'd go with them. My son works for an international software company that has offices in Canada and Europe-- and he mostly works from home anyway --so I think they could leave. But they want to stay and fight.
Send your message once you're in Costa Rica. You have my best wishes for the new chapter in your life.

All of these organizations could use our help no matter how small the contribution is. It all adds up.

There's most likely another organization that you might like better and that's okay too.
