Financial futures are down sharply

Last edited Tue Mar 4, 2025, 10:25 AM - Edit history (1)

This is an acceleration of yesterday's slide, at least at the open.

Of course could be uncertainty with tonight's debacle, then they lift it tomorrow.

But understand, after 30 days of DOGE muddling in our governmental assets, Americans want answers, and Trump has a history of subterfuge and diversion more than facts.

So all bets are off.

Update: 9:25am premarket
Stocks are down, particularly AI, crypto, and growth stocks and funds. Trump Recession imminent?

Will Wall Street investors be fine with that so long as they have the real numbers?

As the 2025 blueprint states - the federal government is NOT the arbiter of TRUTH.

They are crashing the economy on purpose, and I am not sure why.

The oligarchy wants chaos so they can seize more power, but I am not sure the full angle with crashing the economy so quickly. I know they will try to blame Biden, but thie damage they are doing will take many years to unravel. This is a reorganization of the American way of life and I don't think there is anything in this for the bottom 99.9% of the population. It's terifying and I think they're coming for it all.

Except as slave labor. That's the way it worked last time.

But I think this whole idea of people retiring at all is one of their main issues. They really think the bottom 99.9% should work until they drop dead.

In short, I think they're coming for the Social Security trust fund in its entirety, I think one day soon, it will just be completely emptied and payments will stop.

The start of tariffs is finally underway (or is it?).

Interestingly the stocks that were up over the last week and yesterday are defensive domestic plays like MO (Altria - cigarettes and other nicotine delivery systems) -- up 2.6% and HSY (Hershey - fake chocolate and salty snacks) -- up 3.4% And FOX -- up 21% since the election. There is a whole lifestyle in those three.

SOTU will likely make no difference amid all the other chaos.
