General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI am having trouble picking an evening news. What is everyone else watching?
Now, I don't usually watch news except for the podcasts, but I watch 6:30 news to watch how much of what I'm seeing on streaming, actually makes it into the legacy news. And...some things stand out.
CBS: Two male anchors. In fact, it is surprisingly male-centric reporters. And, it isn't about the males, so much, as two meh reporters, in my opinion. Try not to watch it, because I do miss their fantastic female anchors.
ABC: I really like John Muir, but, groan, they report news sometimes a day late. It's like watching yesterday's news.
NBC: I forgot why I stopped watching, but it probably had something to do with a political decision they made that deserved tuning them out.
What is everyone else's impressions?

(25,001 posts)but I did just recently start reading nbcnews.com and it is excellent! Reads like a real, top level newspaper. Real journalism and a good variety of stories.

(44,738 posts)But I do like their field reporters. Lonny Quinn has a good quick weather report. And we seldom miss On the Road on Fridays. CBS has some really good female anchors. I think Nora ODonnel got kicked upstairs.
