He's playing the market.

Twice now, maybe three times because it's hard to keep up with the amount of bullshit he's slinging, tRump has threatened tariffs and backed down on them at the last minute.

Each time, the market experienced a sell-off only to rebound on the backtracking. It's clear that he's shorting the market, and likely working with big traders, to make money on the rebound.

It happened again today and it's a travesty.

The race to see who will be the world's first trillionaire. Will it be Musk,.. or trDUMP,... or maybe Putie ?

The chaos,... the mayhem,... and the total disruption,... the pain,... the sufferings,... the injuries caused others - is to them almost worth more than the $$$money$$$ itself.

many times. He will do all this destructive shit, but the Coup de Gras will be crashing the market like never before. The top 1% will sell short, and taking all the comfortably retired, or near being retired down to paupers. Serfs and Peasants.

Corporate Hedge funds are buying up homes at an alarming rate these recent years, and if people are broke, they will have to sell their homes to even barely subsist.......ALL the building in Denver, for the last five years in particular, has been apartments and not single family residences. Kids starting out now have NO way of affording the mortgage for almost any single family residence.........
The few sales I have seen for young adults just starting out, are parents chipping in with a rather large down payment. Then with fancy financial maneuvering, the payments each year are equal to what the parents can legally "gift" each year, until it is paid off.........

I have seriously asked if ANY of these Politicians have kids, or grandkids, or just don't care......I think it is the later, thinking only of themselves......which is way beyond selfish.......

He started a Crypto Company for his two most worthless spawn males to purportedly run......Weird, huh!!!!???? Not really, they are buying up all the Crypto they can, almost like trying to corner the market so to speak......
Then Trump hinted at changing the U.S. Currency to Crypto based......interesting, huh!!
The U.S. Government would need to buy up all the Crypto to start the Crypto System, and who would have a ton of Crypto to sell?
And how would the U.S. Government pay for all the crypto????? How about with all the Gold in Ft. Knox!!!!!
You do know how Trump has always liked everything Gold.....

Cheney and WBush tried to pull off something equally weird.....Remember the "RED 100's" ??????????

One of these ads is selling a program to mimic the trades of government leaders. Even last year the question of whether government leaders should even be able to trade stocks was still on the table. Now, already, the question is how can we all pile onto what is basically insider trading. If you have access to old financial magazines, look back a couple of decades. When Asian and South American financial markets collapsed one of the main factors given was corruption in those countries.

It's mostly flat since his election. It's down from two weeks ago, pretty badly in fact.

Listen, I wouldn't put it beyond Trump to have his flunkies selling options ahead of his various nonsensical announcements, but I'd like to see something solid.

A dumb fuck who does dumb fucking things without thought.

The more likely explanation is that he's employing pay for play on removing tariffs. If you don't want tariffs on your industry, pay up - to him, of course.

High frequency trading benefits greatly from market volatility. They don’t really care about the overall market trend. It could go up, it could go down, or stay the same. Just as long as it is noisy. That’s where they make their money and they make a lot of it.

This is right up the alley for Musk and his crypto-bros / tech-bros. This is exactly the kind of manipulation that makes it easy for them to pull money out of market chaos.

It's just Trump extorting concessions and money from the groups most impacted by the tariffs. You want them limited for your group? Pay up.

It's not stock manipulation. Not on such a small level. That's far too risky with little payoff. If it was truly about stock manipulation, he'd have rolled back way more tariffs than just auto.

The efforts to inject volatility into the market are significant.
Trump doesn't care about that. The people who empower him and manipulate him care about it.
Trump gets what he wants - extorting concessions. His manipulators get what they want - volatility and chaos.
It is a win-win for them.
