Because I know I did my fucking part by voting against Putin and his disgusting orange puppet. I saw him clearly for what he was, and with a Russian-controlled Supreme Court who ruled him incapable of committing crimes in office (and a Russian-controlled GOP), I wanted no part of that.
Our media, though, how do I explain their dereliction of duty? Did they not know Trusk is a cat's paw for Putin? Because I figured it out and I'm just a dumb scientist with a full time job that isn't a political reporter/commentator.
Are the Democrats responsible for stopping this from happening? They seemed to be unaware of the urgency too. Campaigning with "good Republicans" and not really sounding the alarm that the end of our country was right around the corner.
And now, here we are. The full horror of what the citizenry has done to itself is only beginning to unfold. We'll see how Americans enjoy living under a completely corrupt kleptocracy with no hope of fair elections again.
fuck.
