They donât have enough lawyers to defend their actions anymore. George Conway had mentioned this might happen

(2,705 posts)I do not know what new level of Trump/Musk insanity and injury we can tolerate, I only fear that if happens before so many die, are killed thru neglect, are destitute, homeless, and physically oppressed.

(130,565 posts)The best way to keep people from suing federal agencies is for the agencies (and Musks' rabid DOGE) to stop committing acts that are unlawful or tortious or that violate federal statutes, the Administrative Procedure Act in particular, and/or the Constitution. Easy peasy.

(33,675 posts)That's not it.
He and his buds are a bunch of psychopaths. Following any law isn't a concern for the psychopath. They don't acknowledge the difference between right and wrong or believe in laws. It's an entirely foreign concept for their twisted minds. They can't even think about it.
Laws are not and never will be a deterrent for any psychopath. It's one of the characteristics that defines them.

(22,612 posts)Being a psychopath is why he thinks he should be able to do whatever he wants. I still stand by my point that he resents people filing lawsuits challenging what he wants to do. I'm sure he thinks, "How DARE they!?"

(26,507 posts)against it. Pile on the lawsuits and make it more and more difficult to address these lawsuits and at the same time it brings up the cost for the Executive Branch to defend them.
We need to get to overrun their defense budget and eventually - cost them more money than they are saving by all the DOGE cuts they claim they are making.

(13,435 posts)Should immediately bring a law suit over his illegal and bogus executive order which can be proven as fabricated, at least in the Canadian direction. That would be many more suits to contend with and May immediately stop this stupid tariff shit.

The North Carolina Senate gave initial approval Wednesday to legislation that would block Attorney General Jeff Jackson from challenging President Donald Trumps executive orders in court. Republicans in the upper chamber of the General Assembly quickly advanced Senate Bill 58 last week, saying that Jackson, a Democrat who was elected the states top law enforcement official in November, should be focused on the state, and shouldnt be joining lawsuits brought by other Democratic attorneys general that have sought to block Trumps executive actions.

(6,501 posts)If it were to pass the House, it would be vetoed by Governor Stein. The Repubs do not have the supermajority needed to override the veto.
