Will St. Patrick's Day parades be allowed this year, since it looks like all ethnic/identity celebrations

are to be suppressed or outlawed?

If not, why not?

It’s in there with a Trump face on Mt Rushmore and on money. I think the date was June Fourteenth. I don’t know off-hand the significance of the date.

Mainly in Ireland, two were elected to high office there, one serving as Lord Mayor, of Dublin and another of Belfast in the North of Ireland.

IDK how many Jewish people have been sanctified.

So it's most likely a Xtian observance.

As to saints, they're not just 'a Catholic thing', they are acknowledged by certain Protestant denominations as well.

asking for a friend.......

I know protestants and catholics have people they call saints, and both observe the day--heck, even some of us agnostics have been known to observe it, even if only for the alcohol consumption. I just maintain that the origin of it is rooted in the Catholic faith.

g'night!

but under Trump that's not allowed, at least not in federal agencies or where federal funding is involved - depending one what that heritage is. The Mayor of D.C. was told to remove all traces of Black Lives Matter signs or lose federal funding, so I guess that heritage doesn't get to be celebrated.

... however NYC has theirs always on March 17th no matter what day that happens to be.

In Pittsburgh, our St. Patrick's Day Parade will go forward next Saturday, no matter what weather is predicted. One year we had a blizzard and the parade went on anyway.
