Do you think Musk will realize he's Trump's patsy and Trump will leave him hanging out to dry?

Right now, Must is Trump's talisman and aegis. When shit hits the fan, Trump will turn on him like everyone else in his life and blame Elon for all of the wrongs, feigning ignorance.

Musk will be hung out to dry as Trump turns on him saying that Elon betrayed him and by extension the American people.

Musk spent at least $250 million to get Trump elected. Trump is a moron whose personality disorders make him easy to manipulate.

at least smart enough to recognize that his money can buy what Trump wants - the threat to disobedient GOPers of being primaried - and that with Musk doing the wet work of killing the government, Trump can relax, play golf and pretend he's in charge while not exerting himself in the least. Musk, in contrast, seems to enjoy getting up in everybody's shit and deciding which agencies live and which ones die, so he runs around like a lunatic, making bank off the government with all those sweet contracts while doing stuff he has no business doing and getting away with it. Trump won't get rid of Musk as long as Musk's money supports his needs.

The Musk and Trump alliance is one of circumstance. It wasn't that long ago that Trump and Musk were taking shots at each other.

Remember that Trump is purely transactional. He sees value in Elon, the value being that Elon was able to spin up an insane propaganda machine by buying Twitter, and subsequently contributing to Trump winning the election by flooding the zone (thanks Bannon)

Trump's opinion on Musk in 2022:

These talking points are verbatim what left-of-center Musk haters like me are bringing up. Musk's entire operation is sucking on the government teet, and Trump knew that. But, Musk has more value now that he can command the media space. His underlings and the right-wing media sphere hear the marching orders loud and clear, and follow through. The real question is whether those underlings actually exist...(bots, foreign accounts, etc.)

I leave you with Musk's opinion on Trump, which is funny in a lot of ways.

"...don't make it so that Trump's only way to survive is to regain the Presidency."
What changed?

"Trump would be 82 at the end of term, which is too old to be chief executive of anything, let alone the USA"
Hilarous he would use the same talking point that Biden was blasted with, but again, what changed?

The patsy pile is tangled though. Try not to think of it in a sexual sense.

figured Trump would ditch Musk when Musk started getting more attention and headlines than he did. After all, Trump is fueled by his own ego and arrogance. Attention is what he thrives on. That may still happen eventually, but I figured it wouldn't last as long as it has.
But I think you are right in the sense that Trump has no real friends, he abandons people at the first sign of trouble. I don't believe even his own family members are exempt from that behavior.

They're not even trying to hide it, anymore. It's not as if trump voters (and all too many Democratic officials) seem to give a fuck.

Trump is Musk, Thiel and Vance’s useful idiot. Trump was their foot in the door of our government. I doubt Trump knows much of what they’re doing. He gets to play at being President while they take over the government.
