A check was deposited in my hubby's acct today to compensate for the deductions that have been made to his social security. It was a result of the Social Security Fairness Act. It was a small amount compared to some of the checks I've been hearing about from others here on DU, but we will appreciate every penny. It will go towards healthcare premiums, mostly.

Oh, and thank you Sherrod Brown, who was instrumental in the passage of this act (before he was rewarded for his efforts by losing his seat )
