The right wing "boycott" of Dick's backfired spectacularly, their sales went up 20%. They opened their doors to a whole new market and didn't even have to advertise to get them........

I haven't purchased a single item from Cabelas, or the company they sold out to, for twenty years......

Sadly thier legal department will be getting a letter from the DOJ stating that they are in violation of Trumps Executive Order. Trump has started on the Law Firms in DC and the corporations that don't tow the line like Costco and Dicks are next. DOJ will lose in court but the intimidation is the point. Get a good digital SLR camera with a nice telephoto lens (at least 300 mm) to take lots of pics. Years ago, when it was relatively affordable, I got a Canon EOS 50D kit from Costco with a 300 mm lens. I keep it on sport mode and auto focus so there's never a blurry shot. Those shots are my favorite pics. Just love the pure joy on their faces!

57. I am involved in several non-profit charitable organizations

Over recent years, we were required to publish specific "DEI" policies. Prior to that, we had long traditions of inclusion and anti-discriminiation, and published that ethic along with our mission statement.

In other words, our mission and culture information looked a lot like what Dick's has just presented. It told a good story and nobody had any trouble understanding what we believe and how we operate. Nonetheless, in order to qualify for grants, we replaced that information with pages that were particularly modeled around "DEI". Nobody knows WTF DEI is, but it was necessary for granting purposes.

And now that DEI is illegal, we are going back to what we had before. We can tell the story without ever saying "equity", "inclusion" or "diversity." Of those 3 words, I find "diversity" the one that I miss the most because its meaning is quite clear. You can't really fake diversity. Equity and inclusion are really vague and buzzwordy, so I don't miss them at all.
