Tesla stock is dropping like a rock

Down over 10% today. Tesla has lost over 1/2 of its market share from its high point in Dec.
I never did understand why Tesla was valued so high.

I just noticed this when checking Tesla stock. I wonder if "Technoking" is an actual title in their filings.

analyst says tesla lost it's trump bump. I say he's an idiot. Car mags are saying tesla needs a new model to boost sales.
Media denies the truth.

not market SHARE.

Market value = share price x number of shares
Market share = percentage of all cars sold being a Tesla (or all EV cars sold).

Tesla shareholders previously filed lawsuits against Elon Musk, alleging that his statements, particularly his 2018 tweets about taking Tesla private, caused the stock price to fluctuate and led to investor losses. https://fortune.com/2023/01/18/elon-musk-trial-tesla-funding-secured-tweet-shareholders/

...it's still up 24.6% in the last 365 days, so it would be a tough suit to win. It's up 508% in the last 5 years
"I should have made 90 or 1000%" is not likely to sway many jurors.
But, those who bought 6 months ago are probably pretty upset.
It's down 2.5% over that period of time.
