Is screwing you with that price .
In truth they are not paying $5.49 for those blueberries , chances are they are paying much less . On that lesser amount is what the 25% should be based on , not on the marked up price you pay .
And I have a feeling that is how the consumer will be screwed with higher prices .
I can’t prove that , but I highly suspect it .

And Trump exempted them from the recently imposed tariffs.

Not all price increases are tariff-related.

His immigration raids along with tariffs (which can hit a whole bunch of items along the supply chain) are contributing to price increases.

I've seen way too many posts blaming price increases on tariffs that never materialized by people who haven't bothered to fact-check either whether the tariff went into effect - or whether the goods referenced are included in any tariffs which actually went into effect.

As for hitting a whole bunch of items along the supply chains - blueberries aren't components of something else, at least not when you're buying a carton of blueberries Any tariff on blueberries is a direct tariff on blueberries, not on the supply chain.

I'm all for tying price increases that are actually attributed to Trump's tariffs to him. But it needs to be a solid connection, not something easily disproven.

The COVID supply chain disruptions should have made it crystal clear that price increases might not necessarily have direct correlation with shortages but they certainly were used to price gouge anyway.
So yes we CAN lay this at the feet of Trump policy.

It's pretty clear the OP was connecting it to Mexican tariffs which were supposed to be imposed, but were then pulled back for everything given priority status under the USMCA agreement.
