Last night with 2 Canadians

At an NHL game last night between Seattle and Montreal. We are in a club lounge at the Arena when a couple from Alberta shared our bar table. They were wearing Montreal jerseys and I welcomed them to our fucked-up country.

They were very polite and shrugged off Trump's stupid antics. I made it clear we did not vote for him. The man replied he figured that as I appeared to be coherent and polite. Nonetheless, I apologized for our country.

We parted and then the Canadian national anthem was played and an enormous a
amount of cheers rang out from the bi-partisan crowd showing their respect.

Canadians are not mad at us, they just feel sorry for our very stupid president and his flying MAGA monkeys.

Btw, we won in OT 4 seconds after the puck drop. America will survive with friendship, respect and integrity.

I post this as the stock market crashes again
Ugh!

The vast majority of Americans love Canada.

We all need to remove this moron from office before he further damages our country w/ his stupid antics.

People I meet seem reluctant to talk about the elephant in the room. I think they're politely trying to spare me from the embarrassment and shame.

Americans must quickly realize that the real problem is MUSK, Trump is his puppet! Musk is calling the shots behind the scenes, not so quietly lining up the American economy in his gunsights. He will get super rich on your backs, Trump is just the patsy, a vehicle with which the achieve this end.
don't be blindsided to the situation...Just think how absurd it is to have an outsider...someone with no connection to politics, deep inside the functions of your government...UNCHECKED!!

and met a nice gentleman from Canada and spent some time talking to him.
At time them the big Teabag lie was that Canadians hated their medical plan. There was even a college kid working there that was president of the campus young republicans and he pushed that lie.
So I asked if he liked their system and said YES. So, I ran down the kid and had him hear it himself.
I might add that this guy was not poor at all. He took me out to see the car he had, on a trailer he had taken to a show. It was a ment late 30s Packard. Had to be mid to high 6 figures.

The canard of Canadians hating their healthcare system was standard right-wing material long before the Tea Party.

They actually like a big decline so they can buy up stocks, and everything else, on the cheap. They refer to a dip where the middle income group, $50k-250k, are selling their stocks as "stocks returning to their true owners". Of course half of us have no stocks at all.

and aren't motivated to stop it, then we deserve every bit of the fallout. This last election has dispensed me of the notion that most Americans are good people. I think most Americans are capable of being either good or bad, but are influenced by our currently rotten culture to feed the bad. Our present government is a result of our selfishness, hatred and materialism.
