People, Don't Turn On Senate Democrats

I Blame Senate leadership. I believe that had Chuck Schumer given a different speech that the CR would have been defeated.

If Schumer had given the reasons why Democrats could not vote for the CR, that the CR would make it easier for Musk to gut our institutions illegally, that the CR would tie Democrats hands to fight to save SS, Medicare, Medicaid, the VA, and the rest. That the CR would make Democrats complicit in turning over the powers of Congress delegated to them in the Constitution to Elon Musk, an illegal immigrant.

If Chuck Schumer had let Americans know that House Democrats were working on a 30 day CR to give the parties time to agree on a spending bill that would not hurt working class Americans, maybe, just maybe, 4 or 5 of those 9 other Democrats who kneecapped the House would have voted down the bad CR?

Chuck Schumer opened the door for those Senators to vote aye, it would have been much harder for them to vote aye had Chuck given a different speech.

1. They knew everything Schumer knew. They made the choice to vote for it.

We need a new leader. I do not want him in that position any longer.

Krasnov wanted the CR.

A lot of Senate Democrats who I have listened to have said that the CR will make it easier for Musk to illegally gut our institutions, especially with Democrats on board.

who sold out the country. I think there were 10 of them, who voted to give Trump/Musk power over spending, in essence, the ability to ignore congress and move forward to do whatever comes into their diseased evil little heads.

The majority of them did not.

So, when Musk decides the next "cost-saving" is to dissolve congress....well, they have themselves to thank.

But, all of these senators have enough resources that they can leave the country if it gets bad. At very least, they have enough to make it through just fine. Most of us do not.

It's not a coincidence that all of the Ds who voted for cloture were up for reelection in 2028 or later.

They're banking on us to forget this act of betrayal by then, while the rest of the Ds got permission slips to act oppositional.

It's all a ruse.

I am not saying vote them out, except for Fetterman. But, they deserve to face the verbal firing squad for their entire tenure. It is on them to prove us wrong now. Any fascist moves made by Trump would be viewed as, "could this be prevented". Yes, Trump will win for the next 2 years. However, name of the game was to slow him down so that he has less time to destroy everything. Caving on CR removes that option. He will move on with full steam. Now. Trump can gut everything for 6 months LEGALLY . Every Republican will sign everything. Watch how Susan Collins, Murkowski, and Tillis will play this with token no vote but let it all pass. Oh, Fetterman will also assist.

Talking about turning on, everyone must turn on Fetterman at all times. As far as others, come elections time, we have to bite our teeth but vote for them. Sad some retiring Dems voted for this. I hope anyone running faces a strong primary Dem.

People have beliefs, confidence in what they believe in. Take for example, the belief that cutting an offenders hand off will stop theft. It doesn't work. In places where that punishment exists there are still thieves and one-handed people. There are signs in parks telling visitors not to approach animals, yet the urge to pet fuzzy cows is too strong. It does matter what anyone believes.
They can spin stories of all sorts, some of how this was a dismal failure, some of how this was the best outcome. Good luck getting a great many people to have any confidence in what they hear now. On a visit to Honolulu we were told that sometimes when someone jumps of the top of the mountain the wind blows them right back up to where they were. Some of us don't need a sign or a warning not to jump off that mountain. We know it will be the last poor decision we ever made - a very low confidence belief
