Open Letter from Canadian to Maga and Maple Leaf Maga

This is an open letter from Jim Elliot who is a news reporter, I think he is in the Yukon:

Dear 77,301,997 Trump-Loving, Conspiracy-Huffing, Rage-Addicted Americans (And the Canadian Dumbfucks Who Worship Them)
Oh, hey there. Sit down. Read this. Try not to cry.

Listen, I get it. You think we’re just a bunch of polite, snow-loving, maple syrup-chugging pushovers up here in Canada. You’ve been misled. We’re polite, sure. But only until we get pissed off. And you, dear MAGA cultists, are testing our fucking patience.

Let’s clear up a few things about who we actually are, because you seem to be confused. We’re a country that gives a shit about our elders, our kids, and our most vulnerable. We actually value education instead of treating it like some left-wing brainwashing experiment. We don’t get all horny over billionaires hoarding wealth while our neighbours die in poverty. We don’t fantasize about returning to the 1940s, and we sure as hell don’t think the most corrupt sack of shit on the planet was personally chosen by God.

Who does that? Oh right—you.

But let’s go deeper.
We’ve Always Been Your Best Fucking Neighbour—So What the Hell Happened?
Time and time again, Canada has been there when the U.S. needed us.

World War I? We were in the trenches before you even showed up. World War II? We were storming the beaches of Normandy while you were still debating whether or not to help. Korea, Afghanistan, peacekeeping missions—you name it, we’ve had your back. We sent our firefighters to help when California burned. When Katrina wiped out New Orleans, we were there. And on 9/11? We fucking welcomed thousands of stranded Americans into our homes, because that’s what decent people do.

And what did we ask for in return? Nothing. We didn’t demand grovelling gratitude or threaten to “never help again” if you didn’t kiss our ass. That’s your toxic, transactional bullshit—not ours.

Enter Your Mango-Coloured Messiah: A Convicted Criminal With a Cult

So after all that, what do we get? Your country elects a spray-tanned sociopath with a vocabulary of a Grade 3 dropout, and suddenly we’re the bad guys? You’ve got a convicted fraudster leading your country—a man who insults war heroes, mocks the disabled, and jerks off to the thought of authoritarian rule—and we’re the problem? You’ve got a party foaming at the mouth to gut democracy, roll back civil rights, and turn the U.S. into a theocratic shithole, but we’re the ones who should shut up?
Nah. Fuck that.

And to the Canadian Trump Bootlickers—Sit the Fuck Down
I can already hear the Canadian MAGA muppets shrieking, “Mind your own broken country!” Oh, sweetheart. If Canada were actually broken, it would be because of dumbass conservatives like you who take marching orders from a foreign conman.

Is Canada perfect? Of course not. But unlike you bootlicking clowns, we don’t rally behind leaders who openly admire fascists and flirt with the idea of rounding up immigrants. We don’t foam at the mouth over the idea of a “war on woke” while pretending climate change isn’t real. And we certainly don’t suck off billionaires while pretending trickle-down economics isn’t a scam.

You morons scream about freedom, but what you really mean is the freedom to be an ignorant, unvaccinated, gun-hoarding dipshit. The moment someone else—be it a woman, an immigrant, or a person of colour—wants the same freedom you enjoy? Oh no, suddenly that’s tyranny. Fuck off with that hypocrisy.

Canada Isn’t Broken—You Just Can’t Handle Reality

What do we actually have in Canada? Universal health care. Sensible gun laws. A social safety net that, while imperfect, at least tries to keep people from starving in the streets.

Meanwhile, in your MAGA utopia, you can literally go bankrupt because you got cancer. You send kids to school in bulletproof backpacks because you refuse to do anything about mass shootings. You’re so brainwashed by billionaires that you think raising the minimum wage is worse than cutting taxes for a corporation that made $100 billion last quarter.

And you have the fucking gall to call us broken?

Mind My Own Business? I Fucking Wish

Oh, I’d love to. Really, I would. But here’s the problem—when you share a border with a country of over 300 million people, and that country elects a conspiracy-loving, anti-science lunatic to power, it becomes my business.
When your president guts economic, military, and trade alliances that help keep the world stable? That’s my business. When your leader openly muses about invading sovereign countries—including ours? That’s definitely my business.
And when a bunch of dumbfuck Canadians start acting like America’s the blueprint for success, despite all evidence to the contrary? That’s all of our business.

We’re Watching, and We’re Not Impressed

So, dear Trump cultists, both American and Canadian: we’re onto you. We see your bullshit, your hypocrisy, your complete detachment from reality. And we’re not buying a single second of it.

We’re your neighbours, your allies, your friends—but we’re not your doormats. We’re polite, but we’re not fucking stupid. And right now? We’re watching. Closely.

Warmest regards,
A Canadian Who’s Had Enough of Your Bullshit

We do understand that most people are supportive of the way Canada, Greenland and Panama are being treated but it doesn't help us out of this bind when the democrats are falling as fast as republicans. It is really discouraging for the world to watch, mostly to those progressives in your own country. I truly hope the idiot conservatives do not win our election or we may be joining you.

Trump doesn't want Canada, Greenland, Iceland for the 51st state.........PUTIN WANTS IT for a North Shipping Passage and all the minerals and oil under the ocean floor which will be assessable in the future due to the melting ice from Global Warming....
AND PUTIN has ordered Trump to get it for him.....

And, they want to use Hitler's means of taking the U.S. not back to just the 40's, but it is blatantly apparent they want to return to the GILDED AGE and days of the ROBBER BARRONS...........NO RULES, NO LAWS, NO REGULATIONS, free to rape, pillage and plunder everything in their way.......

At least he defined it as 77 million. I’m usually very sensitive about these kind of call outs but I feel like this is at least selective. I blocked many of my Canadian friends because of this type of thing. They wrote as though they can’t see that some of us have been trying and are sick over what is going down!! I have one Canadian friend left and he is sick over all of this but he understands that it is beyond my powers. This has been an added stress. The ludicrousness of Canada as a state is simply absurd! It is a delusion of madness.

Title-The forgotten ruthlessness of Canada’s Great War soldiers

https://nationalpost.com/news/canada/the-forgotten-ferocity-of-canadas-soldiers-in-the-great-war

Second citation--Canadian War Crimes in WW1: How German Soldiers Were Exploited by Canadian Troops

snip-Perhaps one of the most shocking instances of Canadian cruelty was when they were socializing with German soldiers. They would throw cans of corned beef across the trenches, and when the enemy troops yelled for more, the Canucks responded by throwing an armload of grenades at them instead.

There are other instances of Canadians being brutally excessive in their actions toward the enemy. On Christmas 1915, Canadian soldiers were fighting against the Germans when a temporary peace broke out, causing the fighting to cease. The Germans called over to wish them a Merry Christmas. Both sides put their heads above the trenches, but one of the Canadian sergeants, acting on orders not to speak with the enemy, shot two enemy soldiers."

Trench raids, same source

"The Canadians quickly became experts, refining their techniques and creating their own weapons for use during the raids. Typical weapons were often not as effective, so items like clubs, knives and brass knuckles were used, as they allowed the raiders to stay silent, unlike mechanized tools.

I used to go 3-4 times each year. Since January 21st I may never visit again. Even though I'm a Democrat and had nothing to do with that Potemkin president in Washington (when he's even there), I'm too ashamed of our country and the people in it to cross the border anymore.

If I were young I'd emigrate to Canada in a heartbeat. They have little need for a 75 yr. old man, though.

I used to get a laugh when Security at the Canadian Embassy used to want put me through the metal detector, and Raymond (his name) would show up and take me through, saying “he’s with me,” while his security people stared after us, wondering who TF was that guy?

I’ve been in touch with Raymond recently, and while I don’t know anyone in the present Canadian government, he obviously does. His uncle was PM for years, after all. Raymond’s family name is Chrétien. His uncle, Jean Chrétien, was PM during Raymond’s last years in the Canadian foreign service. He had two big farewell parties in Paris. I was honored to be the only Anglo invited to the French-speaking event, but I didn’t know anybody other than the Canadian embassy staff. Elegant but boring. On the other hand, if I had gone to the English-speaking party, I would have run into the Cheney-Bush crowd, introduced as a Republican-hating Texan. Raymond always the consummate diplomat.

".....I hope Canada doesn’t become the 51st state - not to mention all the tariffs which he is hoping will make us change our minds. What a nightmare all round."

She used to work at the UN. When we lived in NYC I met her through our mutual English friend. She followed me into the flat I shared in London. Then we both wound up in New York for a time. Such a small world. Another American who followed me into another flat showed up at a party in NYC. It was freaky.

So many friends from those days abroad. It is beyond madness to become part of the Axis of Evil. I can't begin to offer enough apologies for our treachery.

Never. We are not worried about that, just pissed off. We are more worried about the people who will lose their jobs.

We all know how insane Trump is. We just didn't know he'd protect himself with a bunch of sellout sycophants. I love the fight your politicians are putting up. Make him feel as uncomfortable as possible.

Yes, hell yes and don't hold back. Now if we could only get the US media to have the ball s to say this, we would be at the edge of beginning the possibility of recovery from the mas hypnosis the United States seems be suffering from. God, I love our Canadian brethren. I would gladly send you Donald Trump and Elon Musk if you promised to send them the the Northwest Territories in a jockstrap and a pair of crocs in the middle of a blizzard.

I know most there, and the country are against it but it would be a deterrent to orange psycho ever trying to act out his crap etc. If Ukraine had kept even some of theirs there would have not been a war there now imo.

Recently a Maga loon who was driving my brother somewhere via uber started going on about how Canada is going to be the next state etc. My brother explained to him why that is never going to happen. I don't even know why he started about that. My brother was not wearing his Canadian hat etc.

* Us, Uk and Canada all stormed Normandy at once as I recall. 😁

But Mr. Elliot did make a mistake about the Canadians storming the beaches of Normandy while Americans debated whether or not to help. Prior to D-day, Normandy was a heavily fortified German area (after the Vichy government was installed in France). The only storming that happened there was in June 1944, and the Americans had been in the war for 2 1/2 years by then. What he should have pointed out was that Canadian pilots and warplanes fought bravely in the Battle of Britain, against mostly superior German planes, in 1940, while Americans dithered and whined about Roosevelt's Lend-Lease program. But otherwise, he absolutely nailed it.
