(5,179 posts)Hilary, Obama, AOC and the likes. Not so much Schumer. That action would tell me that we are in Third Reich territory, but lets be honest here - White people would have to take the lead. Because only then would Americans see this administration as a real threat not only to the U.S. but the world.

(59,147 posts)Yes I have thought long & hard about and I am still thinking long & hard about it.
Best Answer I got is it will happen when it happens. It's not just one thing. My sig line is a pretty good educated guess though.
A good question to ask is, what are you going to do when democracy & the rule of law falls apart?

(40,365 posts)Which doesn't mean I'll be actively attacking Magahats . Use of deadly force won't be used unless there is an immediate threat of death or great physical harm to me or my family

I've made the comment in another post that engaging in fighting can also put the lives of their own loved ones at risk as their would be casualties.

I am not even sure I could shoot a gun but my husband was in the army years ago and was a top shooter, he unlike me was raised with guns.

(13,018 posts)It use to be if Russia declared war on us. On our soil. They are now in our government all the way to the top. FIND OUT phase is here. Steal all I worked for my whole life, while smirking like Moses Mike.
Walk into my home smirking, take all I have while you already own billions, only one outcome for that.
Nothing to lose and in a corner, not gonna curl into a ball, aint gonna happen.
Fight or flight, I cant fly. I know its not for every one, but the liberty or death phrase applies.
I will not live on a leash chained up outside with a 50 gallon medal drum for shelter, dependent on an owner to throw me a bone like a Noem dog, only to be shot in the head at her will.
Lets see how Mississippi and Alabama MAGAs respond, if God forbid, tornados wipe them out, and Musk, Trump and Vance smirk at a news briefing telling them FEMA is no longer, call Tuberville or Ivy for some MREs (for a price).
Stay safe all of you, wishing you ALL safety, even GQPers. But all you GQP elected thieves, if there is a God, Mar-a-Lardo, while filled with billionaires smirking and sipping on AMERICAN made champagne, toasting your new tax break, fuck you if a direct hit occurs. THAT would make us Great Again.

(40,365 posts)Prior to the 2020 election, there was much talk about taking to the streets, with guns, if Dems tried to steal the election. After the election, the qualifier "if Trump orders it" was added. Others said that Trump had a master plan in place and it was best not to upset it .

(450 posts)I will get out my pitchfork. Anytime there has been some kind of injustice in my neighborhood I have stood up. One time, in the 90's, my generational family and I lived across the street from an elementary school. Parents would come and park in the red zones outside the school to pick up their kids. I was often out there scolding the parents for making it unsafe for kids to cross the street, etc. This was long before chain link fences surrounded schools and stopped kids from running out into the street.
In Spokane we had a car that hit a tree next door to us, the driver had fallen asleep at the wheel. I heard the police giving the driver's girlfriend all kind of impolite lip when she was asking to get stuff out of their car before they towed it away. I immediately went out and invited the girl to our place to sit and relax, charge her phone, get a glass of water and wait for someone to pick her up.
When it is in my neighborhood.

(37,051 posts)...in defense of my family or my home from similar acts of civil violence. I'm seventy years old. I won't take up arms against my country's military and police force. That's a fool's game. I'll leave the country long before that. I have never owned a gun in my life, and I hope not to own one ever.

(13,751 posts)The Second Amendment starts out with: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State". In order to do this according to the Constitution, citizens of a blue state would need to join a public militia group that is only under the command of the State's governor, and then have the governor use this as a show of force against an out-of-control, unconstitutionally acting Federal government.
If we act outside of the Constitution, then we are no better than our current president, and there may as well be a civil war with states threatening to secede.

(5,133 posts)Sorry but if you think you're going to shoot your way into convincing 51% of the country to reject fascism I think you're in for a rude awakening.
We are being attacked by propaganda and distraction trying to drive wedges in our communities and convince people to switch off and comply. We fight back by building up the resilience of our communities so that facts can be spread more effectively again.
