Michael Douglas' son Cameron reportedly beaten badly in prison

Michael Douglas' son reportedly has been beaten in a Pennsylvania prison, winding up with a broken finger and a broken leg.

Cameron Douglas, 34, suffered the injuries — including a broken femur — after a New York City crime boss put a $100 bounty on his head during the prison flag-football league season because he was a "rat," a prison source told the New York Post.

Although the younger Douglas reportedly dropped out of the league where he was targeted, he nonetheless turned up badly injured. The actor's son blamed his injuries on a handball game, the source said, and a doctor's aide reportedly misdiagnosed the break as a sprain at first.Michael Douglas' son reportedly has been beaten in a Pennsylvania prison, winding up with a broken finger and a broken leg.

Prison is no place for rich/connected people....of course when they refuse to follow the law, they eventually run out of luck and end up there.

Good luck to him..hope he survives it.

I would point out to you why it is, but if you are capable of writing and thinking such a thing, I doubt it would do any good, so I will just call you out instead.

The appeal includes a sketch of Cameron Douglas’ story. He had a sometimes absent father, began drinking early and heavily as a teen, shot up cocaine and heroin, and then there was the part we already knew about, where he was arrested. He did plead guilty and cooperated, even testifying against his former drug dealer. Despite this, the judge, Judge Richard M. Berman, describes Douglas as “continuously reckless, disruptive and noncompliant.”

In addition to telling Cameron Douglas’ story, the Douglas family has put together a team of addiction specialists that are arguing against prison time for Cameron. Here is their thesis statement, “Mr. Douglas, who began injecting heroin daily in his mid-20s, is a textbook example ‘of someone suffering from untreated opiod dependence’ and that more prison time would do nothing to solve his underlying problems”. Furthermore, Dr. Robert Newman, director of Baron Edmond de Rothschild Chemical Dependency Institute at Beth Israel Medical Center said of the judge’s decision to sentence Cameron Douglas to an additional four and a half years, “My outrage is as a physician for someone who has a medical condition which has been ignored.”
