Share prices of electric car manufacturer Tesla slid yet again during trading on Monday, and owner Elon Musk took to his X platform to complain about the mistreatment he believes he's received.

"My companies make great products that people love and I’ve never physically hurt anyone," Musk wrote. "So why the hate and violence against me?"

The Tesla CEO then answered his own rhetorical question.

"Because I am a deadly threat to the woke mind parasite and the humans it controls," he claimed.

There was very little overlap between the years when polio outbreaks were common and those when DDT was in wide use.

There were major polio outbreaks in the US and other industrialized countries beginning in the late19th century and continuing through the first half of the 20th century. During that time, scientists and physicians were able to become very familiar with the disease, including how to recognize and diagnose it. The polio virus was first isolated in 1908.

DDT didn't come into wide use as an insecticide until 1939, and it wasn't completely banned in the US until 1972. The incidence pf polio, otoh, began to decline dramatically after the introduction of effective vaccines in the lste 1950s and early 1960s. So the numbers just don't add up!

The most likely to hurt more than most is the shingles vax, especially the second one (Shingrix is a two-part deal), but I’ve had a friend or two who’s had shingles repeatedly—on her face/head—and she wished to hell she’d gotten the jab to prevent it.

I’m a pharmacy tech and we do tons of vaccines. The needles used are very small and the most common complaint is that the influx of the medication into the tissue might ache for a day or two. I can’t recall the last person who reported really feeling achy or unwell following a vaccine, especially Covid.
