My Trump voting neighbor is "never going to vote again" (for a presidential candidate)
She is in her mid 70s and her son has worked for the State Department for years. She is angry.
I'm guessing she is philosophically unable to vote for a Democrat and now unwilling to vote for a Republican - because they cannot be trusted. She is religious ( where critical thinking is heavily discouraged ) so she has a long history of accepting/believing whatever she hears repeated over and over. As a result she is unable to recognize a con man or liar. She is the perfect mark (target) for Trumpy politicians, aka, Republicans.
