(1,492 posts)There is nothing worse than an unjust law. When laws become unjust, it is the obligation of patriots to violate those laws. In a democracy, human rights are fundamental. Any law that violates democratic principles or human rights is inherently unjust, and must be opposed in the strongest manner possible. In the modern world, the only legitimate form of government is a democracy. Any regime that is not democratic is de facto illegal and therefore must be opposed and abolished.

(2,705 posts)it changed me. All the political and socio-economic issues, the fact she and her family were turned away as their ship tried to dock. The clarity of her voice through that diary of a young girl is as amazing as it is ultimately heart breaking. It taught me the definition of courage.
