Harriet Hageman Mercilessly Booed at Town Hall in Deep Red Wyoming
MAGA Republican Harriet Hageman, the woman who defeated Liz Cheney for the Wyoming at-large seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, was mercilessly booed and heckled at a Town Hall event Wednesday after she defended Elon Musk and DOGE. This in one of the deepest ruby red states in the country.
"I get it that there are people here who dislike me, but there are also people here who want to hear what I have to say," Hageman said to a crowd that was reportedly around 75% negative. A heckler shouted "Nothing!" after Hageman told the crowd the town hall was her opportunity to tell them what she had been working on in D.C. Then the crowd turned ugly as Hageman attempted to defend Elon Musk and DOGE gutting the federal government.
"DOGE is not dismantling Social Security," Hageman said, barely audible over the crowd, who began booing and chanting "Deport Elon!"
The biggest response came later when a member of the audience, who identified herself as a former employee of the Department of Agriculture who was let go in the DOGE mass firings, asked Hageman what she was doing about protecting Wyoming farmers from Trump cuts in aid programs and personnel in the face of unprecedented drought.
