He's using the complicit media to create the perception that he's negotiating.

Boehner made a ridiculous offer a couple of days ago, and the President rejected it.

Now, we're to believe the President made a counter offer based on a proposal he rejected, only to have Boehner reject the counter offer?

7. The President needs to NOT mess with Social Security

cost of living or anything else ....including Medicare benefits...my premiums go up after the 1st and my 1% cost of living will not cover all that is going up on my fixed income. I am so upset that he will allow damage to be done to the little I live on...no more Republicans trying to kill off old people by taking the little we have..damnit..Okay not happy tonight forgive me but if the rumors are right I will be very angry.
