So we have blamed video games, disorders, SSRIs...think it is about time to blame vaccines, too

We can just keep throwing all the sacred outrages at the wall to see what sticks...

Or we could admit there is absolutely no defensible reason for a private citizen to legally buy a weapon that shoots 6 rounds a second and accepts extended magazines. You know, whichever.

Now they will start with the "over the top" inputs about banning rubber band and marshmallow guns.

They predictable, so they can be defeated.

Don't they have a merit badge for gun stuff? Teach all those little scouts how to blow each other away.

Huge K&R.

Its been unbelievable to see the blame parade - ANYTHING is being considered but easy access to guns that can slaughter large numbers of people.

Clearly he used a gun to commit the crimes, so we know the 'how' part.

Seems to me that the 'why' part is just as if not more important to know.

I just don't think repeating "guns are bad" is of much use, as everyone agrees that a gun can
be bad. If we knew why (or where to place the 'blame'), then perhaps
this sort of thing can be prevented from happening again...at least until guns are completely
outlawed, which probably won't happen.

and the winter blues thing ... but wait he shot his mom in the face, it had to be his fear of women or higher taxes.

This whole thing is just sad. And I mean the deaths not the OP. Hopefully at least maybe we can make some meaningful change if not for anything else just so that these lives were not taken for nothing.
