There has got to be a punishment phase involved. The clumsy NONCOM who (actually) accidentally exposes classified information gets something much more severe than firing. Imagine if Dems had done this drama. You’d have to Imagine it because it never would have happened. There are protocols to be observed.

"save" insignificant amounts of federal money. There's a reason why he only nominates/appoints the least qualified people possible for all the important positions.

Is DOGE going to come in and fire these actual, verifiable low perfomers? Make things more "efficient?"

LOL. Somehow, I doubt it.

Federal Records Act and the Presidential Records Act, that documents what is said. This is not the first time. And using phone that we already know China has access to the info.

We know Trump won't fire anybody and nobody will lose their clearance -- hell, half of them probably didn't have any clearance in the first place.

But if MANY Dems can carry through with the message of the day, this will put the GOP on the defensive. Force them to go on Fox News explaining why this was NOT a huge security breach.

The keys to making this work are:

1) create opportunities to be in front of a mic every day

2) Make sure all Dems know the message of focus every day

3) No matter what question is asked, turn the response into a comment about the message of the day.

For example, if a reporter asks, "Do you support the President's efforts to achieve peace in Ukraine?"

Answer, "You know, the central issue with Ukraine is the security of Europe and our NATO allies. But now we have a case where Trump people are giving out 'secret' war plans to reports and using unsecured communications. We even hear reports that Trump's Pentagon is giving Musk for a war he might be considering against China. With this administration being incapable of protecting military secrets, I'm not sure anybody from this administration should be talking to Russia about ANYTHING."

The entire modern conservative movement in this country is built on distrust and hatred of experience, intellect, and competence. Incompetence is something to be proud of, even rewarded for. This administration is the inevitable result.

There is nothing more dangerous than powerful, unqualified idiots, and that's literally all they are.

You don't do that with complex, abstract arguments. That is better accomplished by lobbing grenades.

"Trump people are incompetent" is very soft, and easily ignored.

"Trump people can't stop giving away our top secret military plans" is harder-hitting.

Trump regrets giving classified secrets to Putin. Basically, their worldview is that EVERYTHING about government is wrong. And that includes obsessive concern about classified information. Heck, "big data" knows everything already. What's the big deal? And the operation was successful, so just sit down and shut up while we show you the new way of running Washington.

But high as a kite, Hegsworth knew about it.
