(13,003 posts)that Trump has some back channel means of communicating with Putin, and has since he was corruptly installed the first term.
Musk doesn't bother with that, he just flies over and meets with Putin personally.......
Putin is much happier now that Musk is directing Trump, rather than the other way around.....
Trump is probably near having outgrown his usefulness to Putin...
Then again, Putin may just leave Trump in there for show, and to give the Republican owned Media something to report on so they don't have to report any true news......and to serve as a diversion from all that is being done in the shadows......

(777 posts)None of these people knows how to run a government. Certainly not Putin, the grand-all high lord of mud pits and open sewers. Or the short-con game show host who would be nowhere today without Putin. Or the machine guy who's so abrasive with other human beings that people with limitless patience quit rather than work with him another day.
The sum total of those three people is just a diarrhea-spray. It's hideous and stinky, but the toilet of civilization can and will handle the load.

(3,087 posts)the Federal Records Act of 1950.
As this thread states, their intent is EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE. They have no intention of following any laws. Their only interest is in breaking laws in ways that will be difficult to prosecute if we ever again have a government operating under the rule of law.
There has been much angst about whether we will ever again have a real election. Good question, but the problem is so much greater than that. And we are already there. We have no judicial system. The lower courts, bless their hearts, are still acting like laws mean something, but Trump-world just ignores them, and the SCOTUS is in their bunker hoping they don't ever have to rule on any of that because:
* If they rule against Trump, he will declare the whole court system dead, and it will be
* It they rule for Trump, then the court system will be dead of its own hand.
* There is no third option that preserves any role for the courts unless Trump suddenly decides to be a completely different person from who he has been the past 78 years.

(3,762 posts)These are government records technically and legally, regardless of the fact that they are being transacted on non-government systems. Legally, they are supposed to be preserved.
If someone with legal standing could be located, they could sue to have these records retained.
