The shooter knew exactly where the student with the gun was.

They were also stuck wearing t-shirts 3 sizes too big, bulky gloves, and a bulky helmet.

Not a very realistic test at all.

They would always have their gun where it is easily and readily available, never wear loose clothes, would never be outside in cold weather, would never feel sub optimal and they would always be ready at a millisecond's notice to pull out their gun and do battle.

The excuses here are amazingly transparent, why can't people take the word of the firearms trainer that people without current crisis training are nearly worthless in a crisis situation?

And it would equally unrealistic.

There's no guarantee that armed intervention would work, true- but stacking the deck
to make it fail is hardly 'proof'
