(6,195 posts)his helicopter on the WH south lawn. He was visibly shuffling through the manicured grass. One of his feet appeared to be limp. My sister had drop foot due to the severing of the sciatic nerve in an accident. That nerve enables the flexing of the foot.
Also noticed that he's less often videoed walking -- he's seen sitting or standing behind a podium on which he appears to lean for support. Makes me wonder more than ever if he's on meds, and which one(s).

(69,176 posts)Blood thinners???? I'm not a nurse nor Dr. Remember that bruise he had on his hand?
oh a correction, my daughter is a nurse, bruise could be related to multiple IV medications put in his hands.

(24,486 posts)So given his obesity (even at his claimed weight) and his diet and lifestyle, he may already be living on borrowed time. I believe that he actually cannot comprehend his own death, but I hope at that time he would be completely aware of his state of being.

(8,103 posts)Maybe a combination of hip and knee. He's moving it like he's locking the joints in to bear weight. He looks like he's hesitent, not trusting it until he gets it deployed adequately. The left leg also looks a bit wonky, but less so. Maybe he has sciatica.
All the golf in the world won't fix this. Also, he's morbidly obese. Just think of all the people he has hurt in his first 90 days. Couldn't wish this on a "nicer" guy. Maybe he has incontinence from some neurological disorder. Maybe this is the source of his hatred. Some people are like that.
He's not grabbing onto the golf cart to steady himself. So, when he goes down, he'll go down big. Plop! If he's that wobbly to the point where he is having trouble controlling his feet, looking down at them, he needs forearm crutches.
Just saying. Hey, I'm only praying for his hair to fall out. Or his d*ck to fall off...oh...I see...never mind...

(2,508 posts)We heard this for 4 years (2016-2020) about Pence too and I think history has proven that Pence certainly wouldn't have been worse, was not "scarier" or a "bigger threat". It's the same excuse we heard for years about Bin Laden- can't take him out because theres someone waiting to take his place thats even worse. It's the pass we've seen for dictators, terrorists, and generally bad leaders globally forever and it's a terrible one.

elocs
(24,486 posts)But if you're tired of this belief, then I'm sure you'll get over it. Because how do they prove Vance would not be worse than Trump? They don't.
AkFemDem
(2,508 posts)I don't have to get over anything, because if Trump is impeached, gets knocked out by a cheeseburger, runs off to Argentina, whatever- and Vance becomes president then you'll have to get over it ;--) No one has to "prove" anything. I'm not trying to talk you into anything, you're powerless just like me and you're not going to be able to keep Trump in power no matter how much you want to or kick him out if you'd rather. You'll just deal with it, like the rest of it. I'm arguing with you because your opinion is lame imo.

(15,090 posts)MAGA is less likely to follow him than they were Pence.
Billionaires like him because he's a corrupt Quisling who do anything for their approval. But MAGA doesn't really like or trust Schillbilly. There's no blind, salivating following by thousands of Meal Team Six members.

(8,103 posts)I'd rather see trump gone and take our chances. We can't continue with trump and musk running amok. It's probably not so much Vance as it is whoever is standing behind him, and there aren't that many who want to see vance create a legacy of more incompetence. He's not exactly charismatic.

(3,146 posts)probably from sitting in that golf cart for so long, but he's not agile enough to deal with it and his legs are weak. You can tell when he does walk - he shoots his foot forward from the knee and then steps, as if he doesn't have the leg strength to walk normally.
I'm waiting for him to spend millions of taxpayer dollars just to ride around in that golf cart, leaning over with a club and just whacking the ball as he rides by. Then he'll get to the hole and just drop another ball into it and say "YOUR FAVOURITE PRESIDENT WON!!!"

(426 posts)but I am in my mid 70's, husband too, when we get out of our car during a long trip at a rest stop, we are so stiff it takes a minute to get our legs moving. But he should not be sitting in his golf cart for 2 hours in between holes. Something is not right.

(21,095 posts)Puts 4x pounds of pressure on your load bearing joints - hips, knees, ankles. Even at 6'4", or so he says, he is at least 80 lbs overweight (Class 1 obesity). That's an extra 320 lbs of pressure on his load bearing joints. I'm much shorter than him, and 10 years younger, but I've been in that obesity class. It's hard to get around. I started getting pressure on a nerve and my leg would go numb.
He has the best doctors and chefs in the world at his disposal. He could lose the weight if he wanted to. He just doesn't think he should have to. He'd rather eat like a teenager.
