Conservatives Without Conscience

John Dean, White House Counsel for President Nixon, warned us in his book published in 2006 about conservatives’ proclivity for authoritarianism.

He asserted that conservatism has been co-opted by people with authoritarian personalities and policies. Specifically, the Christian Right which embraces obedience, inequality, intolerance, and strong intrusive government.

He also explains the psychology of the leaders and the people who prefer to be led.
