over the smoldering ruin they leave our country in. We cannot "move on" , we cannot "look forward and not back". Call it justice, call it revenge, call it FAFO. We must make these mother fuckers pay for what they have done, every one of them.

Like the time Bush senior pardoned all the Iran-Contra traitors and, thus, his own prosecution.

Trump will have immunity.
Musk, Vance, Hegseth, Waltz? Maybe.
But youll likely find the next Democratic president not inclined to prosecute a former presidents entire cabinet.

(10,324 posts)When Kamala/Walz went with their Hope and Change 2.0, I was on board since it was a different approach than expected and, hey, maybe it would work!
But it didn't.
I want someone that will seek justice and exact revenge on these anti-democratic fuckers on behalf of our nation. I want all the MAGAt moles kicked out of government, I want all the Trump appointees and holdovers shown the fucking door on Day #1 Hour #1, and anyone that committed crimes during this administration knowing that the Trump DOJ would not prosecute them, I wanted them prosecuted immediately while the statute of limitations is still active.
Fuck kumbaya.
Fuck coming together.
I want them ground to dust.
Whichever Democratic nominee pledges to do that, that is the one that will get my vote in the primary.

And don't put some "well, if we slow walk it enough we never have to press any charges" heritage foundation stooge in charge.

(5,146 posts)Is institute a 90% marginal tax rate on the highest incomes.
Second thing is implement some type of regulatory rules on Social Media.
Third, re-establish a free press.
Four - overturn Citizens United .
Fifth - maybe try to get a real SCOTUS rather than that trash we have now.
Sixth - PUT TRUMP and his enablers in jail, and if not that, at least send TRUMP to The Hague.

I would even consider putting off the speech a day or two and get a few key things done. I don't know, but absolutely no normal, pretend this shit didn't crap.

(586 posts)Trump will be appointing a lot of judges including Supreme Court. Best outcome is democrats get back the House in 2026 and stop the insanity. Not sure our nation can survive 4 years of damage and not sure free world can either.

(8,353 posts)I know, insanely difficult, but it should not be possible for a felon to be President of the US.
I would add more changes as well, which would of course, make approval even more difficult.

Preferably while peering over ones half-glasses.
ENORMOUS pressure to look forward will come from the press, from the Right, and from moneyed interests.
It will take unfamiliar courage and resolve to avoid that trap.
