Trump could have just taken credit for Biden's economy

It would have been easy. And we know he's lazy. It would have involved lying, but since when has he cared about that? And we know the corporate media would have let him get away with it, just as they let him slam Biden's economic record during the election.

So why didn't he? Well, my take is that he doesn't care about his place in history or what voters think of him. Taking credit for Biden's economy might fuel his need for recognition and dishonesty, but beyond that what would he get out of it?

He wants something else. And it is not to bring back manufacturing to the US, which would take years if not decades and the kind of careful planning he is incapable of.

What is it he is after?

It's just another grift.... The executive orders against law firms, companies, colleges, etc. and the tariffs are about make everyone come crawling on their knees to Mar-A-Lago to pay fealty to Trump.

I am not looking forward to the coming reality show drama, I'll tell you that much. But we shall soon see who we can trust in this new era and who we can't. Unity will be very important.

All he did back then was stand aside and let Obama's policies do the work while he took all the credit. The man is a complete moron. His business dealings were almost exclusively real estate related. He did not dabble in the stock market, probably because he did not understand it. His "friends" however do. I wonder how many more new billionaires there are today by shorting the market in the last couple of days. He has been blathering about the tariffs for a while now, I am sure some of them jumped in on this. He is going to crash the US economy and maybe worse, but the wealthy will come out of this even wealthier.

Sorry, just a probably unsuccessful attempt at humor. TBH, I am running out of words myself.

and doing whatever they demand or being paid off by others to do what they want. He is also stupid so it would be easy to convince him it will all be good in the long run. Especially if he is being paid off.

And the Alt-Right... The groups in control of the Trump Regime.

All three of those groups want to overthrow normal democratic order, so autarky is just part and parcel of the agenda.

except he really meant "I am my retribution." I truly think he cares about nothing but getting back at his perceived enemies, including penguins and MAGAts.
