Bloomberg TV reported the latest survey of "wall street analysts", believe that countries will capitualate to trump,

and tariffs will be lower in 6 months.

Of course it remains to be seen, but these same wall street analysts" thought that most of the tariffs were just talk with no substance.

great depression 2, although I guess that is the plan all along, but as in the great depression 1, millionaires and billionaires lost their wealth and they were just like us having very little or nothing.

Republicans fuck up the economy, Democrats fixes it, rinse and repeat.

I don't see them suddenly getting lucky with their next prediction.

Do they even have any clue how Trump's broken economy is supposed to fix itself???

We saw that with Canada and Mexico. It wasn't really anything substantive but it allowed Trump to crow that his tactics worked, and his cult cheered and the media praised him.

If Carney gets elected, he's going to go hard at Trump, too.

Today I wake up and see China has punched back much stronger than any of the experts thought. Markets are down significantly and will probably ruin Trump’s golf outing.

Go China?!

Tomorrow the prophecy will come true! OK, six months from now. OK, a year from now.

It all ends with the Kool-Aid or the bunk beds, fam.

First and foremost, the u.s. is likely already in a contraction as of mid-to-late February or March at the latest, and the tariffs will make it worse. 6 months of crazy-level tariffs and something's gotta give, Donnie will get too much pushback from the business community.

Donnie being the king of corruption that he is, he will grant exemptions and lower specific tariffs one by one in exchange for public praise and monetary bribes. So certainly, quite a number of tariffs will come down just from that.

What about other countries? The global economy is far more nimble than people realize, most companies who source globally have backup plans to re-source, and if not, they'll work with lightning speed to get alternatives. America is most prized globally for its consumers more than anything. So businesses will shift to other countries for products and materials.

They're already talking about strengthening ties outside the u.s. if this goes on for long enough, we may even see things like a North America - e.u. Trade agreement that outright excludes America.

In short, the global community will rapidly isolate us because at the moment, we're impossible to work with. Thanks a lot, Donnie:

The world will soon find out they're not nearly as reliant on us as they used to be, and thus will cause massive permanent damage to our global role and our national wealth. I'm talking damage that a new and popular democratic present and Congress would only be able to partially reverse:

In the end, other countries will negotiate, and sure, they will offer *something* in exchange for lower tariffs, so Donnie can claim victory on paper. But in reality, the damage to America, is stature, and its economy will be far, far greater than any concessions they make.

Especially given that Donnie's only interested in concessions to *him*, not to the American people.
