So, the Hands Off protests got worldwide coverage.

And that’s the way such a large demonstration should be covered. But out of curiosity, I’ve been checking the FoxNews website regularly all day today. Until about 30 minutes ago there was not a single mention—not one— of these worldwide protests by millions of people.

There are a lot of people in the US that do not look at CNN, the Washington Post, the New York Times or any other non-right wing news. For them, these protests didn’t happen. They know nothing about them. They do not share the same reality with us.

Also today, there has been no coverage on the massive market crash caused directly by the Trumptariffs, just vague references to TSF the resolute leader staying the course.

Selective coverage has been an issue for a long time with the right wing news networks, but this is more blatant than anything I’ve seen before. It’s one thing to see the protests and disagree with them, or a stock market crash but blame someone else, but more and more often these things don’t even exist for your MAGA neighbors. And that’s a problem.

I was reading comments on YouTube and many were from people in other countries. They're thrilled to see that Americans are against this shit show administration. It shows them that not all Americans are psycho, greed idiots, too. I think it sends a good message to other countries.

it's a step in the right (er, left) direction - American patriots are NOT against the rest of the world, we are united in our resistance to fascism

This is the thing: Make each protest bigger than the previous one. Make them impossible to sweep under the carpet. Build it because they are coming.

At some point some objective reality has to find its way into that bubble. But it won’t be coming from Faux.

We had protestors lined up for about a half mile at one of the major intersections in the town. The local paper covered it.

The Fox news cameraman was actually the only one I saw at our rally.

T-shirt at the protest today. In 2018 tRump came to the Mexican border so I attended a protest there and a nice person gave me a free t-shirt when I complimented hers. It's one of my favorites.

No coverage on msnbc/cnn/pbs? I am not surprised fn had none though. I am also not surprised if the others give limited coverage. They usually lean that way for anything anti psycho etc. It is so important to cover it widely. I wonder how we can change that.

This morning my brother and I watched a tiny bit of MJ and we were disgusted by the headlines they showed once again not calling out orange psycho and saying he caused the market to crash etc. I saw nothing about the rallies but we turned it off for quite a while.
