The kind of man who wants the government to adopt and enforce his ideas is always the kind of man whose ideas are idiotic. H.L. Mencken

Mr Blue was living out in East Tennessee at the time and he remembers all the little garment factories shutting down and moving overseas. All the older ladies were thrown out of work. I was in NH and I remember the upholstery and carpet mills moving overseas and throwing N C workers into poverty. The unions launched a buy America program and I looked for the union label anytime I bought anything. And then they gradually vanished. Maybe the malignant moron really is stuck in the 80s! I remember it being done about that time. Maybe the oligarchs want to move their profitable enterprises around the globe on a cyclical basis throwing working people from survivorship to poverty and death?

Crazy, but seems to fit the facts?

We neither have the skilled workers nor the infrastructure to manufacture goods in the US to meet demand. I don't care if you make every new manufacturing company fully automated and have 100 years to do it.
I haven't even heard nor seen a plan to change that simple fact
